It was a close shave for four students who suffered serious injuries after glass panels of their school building fell on them from the fourth floor in Kalyan Nagar on Wednesday. The incident occurred at Royal Concorde International School owned by LR Shivaramegowda, former JD(S) MLA from Nagamangala.

While two of the students have suffered grievous injuries and are being treated at a hospital, two other students have suffered minor injuries, it is reported.

On Thursday, parents had turned up at the school demanding safety of their children. The parents were upset that the poor maintenance of the school is threatening the safety of their children.

They complained that despite repeated pleas to ensure proper infrastructure, the management did not heed their requests. Former legislator and the school owner Shivaramegowda's promises to ensure safety of their children went in vain.

Unconfirmed reports said that the school management is planning to declare holiday for the maintenance.
