
Sumoto case has been booked against Karnataka Rakshana Vedike president Narayana Gowda at the Kalasipalya police station alleging instigating to paint the Metro name boards black. DCP Anucheth said Narayana Gowda instigated the activists to paint the name boards black and hence an Fir has been filed.
However, rumour spread that the FIR alleges that Narayana Gowda has fled and is absconding. Anucheth clarified that the FIR does not say Narayana Gowda is absconding but states that he is not yet arrested, reported Suvarna News.
Meanwhile, Vedike president Narayana Gowda has stated that activities of Kannada outfits, especially that of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike is being curtailed. Speaking to Suvarna News on phone Gowda said the police officers from outside the State are trying to curb Kannada activists.
They are registering cases without any reason and sending them to jail in an attempt to stop the agitation. However, the Vedike will not stop its agitation. We are inviting all activist members from all over the State for agitation, and we will take a decision, he said.
