MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar has strongly condemned the sexual assault on girls and stated that the State Government has failed to give security to them.
In a statement he has said that it is a tragedy that children are undergoing sexual atrocities in schools. This will result in children and parents losing their trust in schools. It will have adverse effect on girls. Yet the State government has not taken any steps to assure safety of children, he said, reported Kannada Prabha.
A strong protest was held in 2014 against sexual atrocities against girls. An appeal was submitted to the government urging protection to school children along with certain suggestions.
The State government has not taken any step to implement any of these suggestions. Government has totally failed in implementing safety measures at schools, which would have prevented sexual assault on children. The recent incident of a 4-year-old child subjected to sexual assault is an example of the stat'es failure in preventing the tragic incidents. At least, now, the State government must wake up and implement safety measures in schools, he urged.
