Benagluru West police raided Attica Gold Company head office in Queens Road on Tuesday on suspicion of the company receiving stolen gold at lower price and selling it at high price. Over 30 policemen raided the company and inspected documents.
The owner of the company was not present during the raid. The police have instructed the officials at the company to inform the owner to appear for investigations, reported Kannada Prabha.
It is learnt that police raided Attica Gold Company offices in Vijay Nagar and Basaveshwara Nagar also. Police officials said the raid was conducted based on reliable information.
It can be recalled that in May 2016, a similar complaint was registered against Attica Gold Company. Kodigehalli police had arrested the manager of the company and another thief for operating together to sell stolen jewelry.
The police had recovered 1.020 KG gold, 357 gm silver ornaments along with other stolen goods from the accused.
