JD(S) MLA of Gangavathi, Iqbal Ansari has been accused of writing off all his property including bars in the name of actress Panchami, his second wife.

Azhar and Ahmed Ansari, brothers of Ansari, has alleged that Iqbal has written all the ancestral property in the name of Panchami, by cheating them. They said the father’s property was to be divided equally between the three brothers.

Actress Panchami is said to have married Iqbal Ansari in 2005 and wrote the bars he owned in her name in 2016.

However, Iqbal Ansari’s mother came to his rescue. Ahmadi Begum has said that both the sons accusing against Iqbal have lost their share of property due to bad habits. They are making these allegations in frustration. The property was divided equally between three brothers, she said.

Clearing the air about marrying the actress, she said that Iqbal had married Panchami according to the laws. There is nothing wrong in marrying the second time. No one in the family had any objection to this marriage, she said.

The bars are Iqbal's own properties, and he has written them in his wife’s name. There is nothing wrong with it, said Ahmadi Begum.

Mother has also given a political touch to the issue by saying the BJP is behind spreading such ru mours against her son Iqbal. Azhar and Ahmed have joined hands with BJP, and this is the reason they are making such baseless allegations, she said.
