Ranil Wickremesinghe, prime minister of Sri Lanka was expected to visit the temple on August 27 However, the visit was cancelled due to poor weather conditions On Monday, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje visited the temple and offered prayers to Goddess Mookambika

Ranil Wickremesinghe, prime minister of Sri Lanka is visiting Kollur Mookambika temple on November 21. The temple authorities have restricted devotees from entering the temple from 10 am to 1.30 pm on Tuesday.

It is reported that Wickremesinghe was expected to visit the temple on August 27. But it was cancelled due to bad weather, said a television news channel.

It is reported that Wickremesinghe will fly from Mangaluru to Kundapur and will reach Kollur temple by road. Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district police are keeping a vigil on the stretch. Kollur Mookambika temple is a popular pilgrimage place in Udupi district.

In fact, a just a day earlier, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje too visited the temple.
