Karnataka CET results postponed; when will it be announced?

Synopsis

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) announced that the CET results will be available on May 30 instead of May 27. Officials have postponed it because the CBSE and the ISC Class 12 results have been delayed. According to reports, the Class 12 results could be announced on Friday, May 27.

Students across the state will have to wait a little longer to view the results of the Common Entrance Test (CET). Officials at the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) said the results, which was supposed to be announced on Saturday, May 27 has been postponed.

The main reason for this is due to the delay in Class 12 CBSE and ISC results. The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations or CISCE announced on its website that students will be notified 48 hours before the results will be available. So far, there is no clarity on when this will happen but reports suggest that it will be announced on May 27.  The board will not delay announcing the results after the weekend as it could affect students' college admission. In Delhi for instance, admission procedure has already begun in Delhi University.

Keeping this in mind, officials at the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) announced that the CET results will be declared on Wednesday May 30. “If we announce CET results before CBSE and ICSE results, it will cause inconvenience to the students and it will be double work even for us. Considering this, we decided to wait for three days,” The New Indian Express quoted a senior KEA official as saying. Students can check their CET results on the KEA website, kea.kar.nic.in.
