The incidents of sexual assault, abuse and sexual harassment of the actresses is on the rise. More such incidents are reported through the social media. However, the social media also is posing a threat to the actresses as their profile which is open to the public is sometimes filled with abusive, sleazy messages and photographs by the so called fans.
In the latest incident actress, Nithya Ram decided to deal with a man who sent her obscene photographs on her messenger. The actress took the man to task publically. She made her reaction to the obscene photograph public. She replied to the man in strong words and warning him against repeating this.
In another such incident, two months ago, in April actress and anchor Sheethal Shetty also faced a similar situation, when a man sent her obscene messages on her Facebook account.
The actress neglected initially. But when the obscene messages started flooding her messenger she decided to file a complaint with the police. She even gave a strong reply to the man on Facebook itself. She made his profile public and even made the messages he sent public.
This was Sheethal’s reply to the shameless man.
Later the man was even known to have called her ‘sister’ and said that he was just checking her account is fake. Sheetal Shetty has a verified account on Facebook.
Perhaps, this is the best way to deal with the social media nuisance creators.
