
Kannada actress Pooja Gandhi is being made to wait in the second JMFC court in Raichur for hours together. She is in the court to seek anticipatory bail with regard to violation of election code of conduct in 2013.
Currently, the court has issued her bail on a surity of Rs 1 lakh, thus she will not be handed over to judicial custody.
The Dandupalya actress was summoned to the court with regard to a case in violation of the code of conduct during elections, four years ago. Reports also claimed that the court warned her that if she cannot wait till evening, she would be remanded to judicial custody with immediate effect.
Pooja Gandhi had contested in the 2013 Assembly elections from Sriramulu's BSR Congress party. She had used the party vehicle without permission for election campaigning. A case in this regard was booked at Sadarbazar police station.
She was summoned to the court five times in this regard. But as she failed to attend the court proceedings, a warrant was issued against her.
Thus this time she was forced to be at the second JMFC court and has applied for conditional bail.
