Here's a shocker to all those who were on cloud nine to have made the advance booking for this Friday's mega movie release - 'Baahubali 2'. For, it is just time before the order to cap Rs 200 on multiplex tickets come into force.

As announced in the state budget, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has signed on the dotted line on Wednesday. Once it reaches the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, the order will be implemented, immediately, said KFCC chairperson SaRa Govindu. Going by his words, the order will come into effect by Thursday evening or Friday morning.

Although Rs 200 price cap was restricted to multiplexes, there are plans to cover even the single screen theatres too, under Rs 200 cap ambit. Meanwhile, tickets are priced at Rs 600 for ‘Baahubali 2’ at Urvashi theatre on Lalbagh road. But it is not confirmed whether the theatre will continue to charge the same amount, if the order is implemented.
