IT officials deny seizing Rs 11 crore from DK Shivakumar's residence

After various reports suggested that the Income Tax officials allegedly seized Rs 11 crore from Energy Minister DK Shivakumar's residence at New Delhi, Income Tax officials have clarified that these reports were far from true.

According to Suvarna News, IT joint commissioner (New Delhi) clarified that they have not seized Rs 11 crore from minister Shivakumar's house in Delhi, as was being reported in the media. The IT officials had raided Shivakumar's house in Delhi which is maintained by his close aide, Anjaneya.

The officials also conducted raids at Eagleton resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru where Gujarat Congress legislators are holed up courtesy, Energy Minister DK Shivakumar. The raids were conducted at the minister's residences at Sadashivanaga, Ramanagar, Doddaalahalli and even the minister's father-in-law's house in Mysuru.
