
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is getting the staff of the State’s ambitious Indira Canteen undergo special training to make it a success. The Zonal Joint Commissioner has been entrusted with the responsibility of training the staff, reports Kannada Prabha.
A special app has been developed to make Indira Canteen a success. It shows the route map to the nearest five Indira Canteens and menu available over there. It also gives a complete information about Indira Canteen, said the officials.
The Joint Commissioner has been informed about the system of transporting food from the kitchens to the canteens in their wards, and also about the app. He is also taught how to take action in case the food is in short supply or how to reduce if there is surplus food. The staff which is making no stone unturned to see that the Canteens open on Aug 15 are now also burdened with its success. Preparations are on full swing. Around 108 canteens are almost ready for launch on Aug 15. The catering staff are being trained in maintaining cleanliness and food distribution. They have been instructed by Special Commissioner Manoj rajan to serve with a smiling faces when customers come in.
The BBMP has also announced a prize of Rs 1 lakh for best Selfie with Indira Canteen competition. Attractive caption along with good selfie will get Rs 1 lakh prize.
