Deceased IAS officer Anurag Tewari's parents suspect that an officer of Uttar Pradesh could be hiding some crucial information that could help the investigation into the mysterious death of their son. Tewari's father BN Tewari and mother Susheela alleged that their son always stayed with Narayan Prabhu, an UP cadre officer, whenever he visited Lucknow. "The two of them shared a good bond and we suspect that Narayan Prabhu may have some information that Tewari could have shared with him. But he is avoiding the CBI investigation," BN Tewari alleged.

Quoting lab reports, the parents said "The food Anurag had consumed was undigested. He must have been poisoned to death. His room was completely cleaned when we visited. This could have destroyed the evidence," they alleged. Anurag was about to expose irregularities in his department and this could have proved costly to him, they alleged. They however, expressed their displeasure over the fact that none from the state government bothered to meet them. "Chief minister Siddaramaiah has not gave us an appointment yet. We feel a conspiracy behind it," said Tewari parents, reports Kannada Prabha.

Meanwhile, the investigating officers are exploring the fact that overdose of medicines could have killed Tewari. The SIT team which visited Tewari's residence in Bengaluru, recently has reportedly found reciepts medicines prescribed by psychiatrists. The team has also recovered cigarettee buts from the guest house in Lucknow and they have been sent to the lab.

Various theories have been doing the rounds over the mysterious death of IAS officer Anurag Tewari. Tewari, the commissioner of Food and Civil supplies, was found dead by the side of the road near a guest house in Lucknow. It is reported that he was about to expose a major scam in his department and this could have led to his death. It is said that two of his colleagues had suspected about his sudden death but failed to turn up when summoned by the investigation officers, reports Prajavani.
