First in the country: Now, Bengaluru City police on Insta too!

Tech-loving Bengaluru City police add another feather to their IT feat They are winning twitter with their creative and innovative posters

Already, their twitter handle @BlrCityPolice are quite active with over six lakh followers! Their innovative and creative posters on various issues – be  it road safety, no honking or even no parking – have been winning praises from every corner.

What more, their WhatsApp number of City police control room – 9480801000 – is dedicated to receive complaints from the citizens. Besides, their Facebook page – Bengaluru City Police and Bengaluru City Traffic Police – too have quite a number of followers. The social media wing of the Bengaluru City police at the command centre was set up in 2015. The IT-staff work round-the-clock here.

Although, the city police hasn't posted yet anything on the Instagram, it is already being followed by 316 Instagrammers. Well, we don’t know how their presence on the photo sharing app will help them mitigate crime rate in the city but the growing number of instagrammers on their account is a clear indication that they are the favourite.
