Onions, jaggery, papaya leaf juice is Karnataka government's new recipe for Dengue!

Synopsis

Eating small onions with jaggery will increase the platelets in the blood and fight Dengue. This easy and without side effects home remedy is suggested by the Ayush Department. When the symptoms are very severe do not depend on home remedy, contact hospital immediately.

Chief Secretary, Health Department, Dr Shalini Rajneesh has advised that eating small onions with jaggery will increase the platelets in the blood and fight Dengue. This home remedy has been suggested by the Ayush Department doctors. It is easy and without any side effects. Dengue fever reduces platelets in the blood. Eating onion and jaggery will increase the platelets and enhance immunity which helps in curing Dengue, the hand bill issued by Ayush Department explains, reported Kannada Prabha.

Severe fever, vomiting, headache, tiredness, muscle and joint pain are the symptoms of Dengue.  The skin turns red, bleeding, loss of red blood corpuscles are symptoms of severe Dengue.  Eating small onion with jaggery will fight Dengue, it is said.  However, when the symptoms are very severe do not depend on home remedy but contact hospital immediately.

The other home remedies to fight Dengue are:

Papaya leaf juice. Take one portion of Papaya leaf juice (25 gms), mix it with 8 portions of water (200 ml) and boil to reduce for ¼.  Strain this and store. Drink 50 ml in empty stomach.

For Malaria: Boil water with dry ginger and coriander seeds and drink.

Boil Amrutaballi leaf or stem in water and drink 3 times a day for 7 days.

Boil Parijatha leaf, neem scales, dry ginger, Hippali in water and drink.
