Don't do what this man did to impress his love interest, you will land up in jail

Synopsis

24-year-old Wasim Akram stole bikes from various areas in Bengaluru and sold them off to buy gifts for his lady love. The accused has stolen bikes from JJ Nagar, Vijaynagar, Byatarayanapura, Cubbon Park, Banashankari, Kalasipalya, Ashoknagar, Thilaknagar and KS Layout police limits. Akram was caught by the KG Nagar police while riding a stolen bike. Another person who bought the stolen bikes too have been arrested.

In order to impress his ladylove, a 24-year old man did something that landed him straight in jail. He allegedly went on a bike-stealing spree in order to meet the expenses for the gifts he used to promise to his girlfriend. On further investigation, it was found that the man, a mechanic by profession, had told the woman that he was the father of a rich businessman. And in order to prove his wealth, he used to steal bikes parked outside homes and take the girl on long drives.

He later, sold the bikes or pledged them to get money to buy very expensive gifts for the girl. The police has identified the accused as Wasim Akram, a resident of Sarabandepalya in Banashankari. The girl, reportedly is from Ramanagar on Mysore Road. A police officer said, "To impress his girlfriend and to win her heart, the accused boasted himself to be the son of a wealthy businessman. He was working as a mechanic. Fearing that his girlfriend would ditch him, he started stealing bikes parked outside houses. He would then sell bikes or would pledge them. Later, he would buy fancy bikes and bullets."

According to a report by the Bangalore Mirror, the accused has stolen bikes from JJ Nagar, Vijaynagar, Byatarayanapura, Cubbon Park, Banashankari, Kalasipalya, Ashoknagar, Thilaknagar and KS Layout police limits.

Police further added, "Akram was caught by the KG Nagar police while riding a stolen bike. Another person who bought the stolen bikes too have been arrested."
