The State Government had invited bids from specialist doctors to serve at Community Health Centres at taluks and district hospitals. Accordingly one doctor had bid for Rs 4 lakhs to serve at the Health Centre at remote Vamadapadavu, in Bantwala taluk and the government has honoured his bid and appointed him, reported Kannada Prabha.
The bidding process is being conducted online and selection is carried out at district level committees. In Dakshina Kannada a total of 14 doctors are appointed. For towns the bid was for Rs 1 and Rs 2 lakhs. A doctor had bid for Rs 4 lakh for Vamadapadavu and he was appointed said D K district health office Ramakrishna Rao.
