In the absence of power minister DK Shivakumar, his brother and Bengaluru Rural MP DK Suresh is likely to step into the minister’s shoes to ensure the safety of 44 Gujarat MLAs housed at Eagelton Resort and safely take them back to vote in the Rajya Sabha Election next week.
Speaking exclusively to Newsable, DK Suresh said, although DK Shivakumar has completed the formality and has given full cooperation to the IT officials, they have simply made him sit.
"Despite finishing the process, the officials have detained my brother. The officials say they are waiting for the orders from Delhi to close the process and let my brother go," he said.
Hinting at the detention of his brother DK Shivakumar for another two to three days, Suresh said, "All the MLAs are safe and have no worries. In case if the IT officials continue staying for few more days, we will have to continue taking care of all the MLAS."
