Karnataka Energy Minister spoke to the media for the first time after the IT raids on his houses and offices. He refused to give out any details of what happened in the house during the raid and said he would call everyone and speak about it after the Panchnama (statement on the documents and things seized).

Shivakumar's house was raided for three days, and he was questioned continuously. This is his first reaction after coming out of the house after three days.

"All the officers have gone. I am going to a temple on which I have faith and later will go and meet the MLAs who came to Karnataka keeping their belief in me."

However, he refused to give any details about the temple he was visiting.

"I will not embarrass my party, will not let down my party at any point of time. I am a party worker and will remain so. I have come from a village to be in politics; I know what I am doing."

When asked again about the raids he said, "I have no idea about the number of places raids were held, or things seized. I know only what the media has shown."

He thanked the police personnel, all the officers and the media and said, "Thank you for the security, and it might have been torture for all of you, but you stood here outside my house and my relatives house. Thank you for your cooperation."
