
Two bike-borne unidentified people stabbed the security personnel filling money into the ATM and escaped after robbing Rs 18 lakh.
Three security personnel of the Secure Well Agency reached the ICIC ATM near Jalahalli Cross at 6 am on Monday. As they stepped down the vehicle with the money bag, two people on Pulsar 220 CC bike tried to snatch the bag. When the security personnel resisted, one of the unidentified persons stabbed him later fled with the bag which had Rs 18,50,000 money.
Mohan, Sagar and Prasanna were the security personnel who had Rs 1 crore and 25 lakhs in the vehicle. They reached one of their destinations (ICICI ATM) near Jalahalli Cross and were about to get inside the ATM centre with the money the money was robbed.
Mohan, the security personnel, is severely injured and has been admitted to Sparsh hospital in Goraguntepalya. A case in this regard has been booked in the Bagalagunte Police Station.
So far no clue about the unidentified people is available. Police are trying to locate and identify the culprits through the CCTV footages in and around the ATM centre, where the incident occurred.
