An Anganwadi assistant branded a three-and-half-year-old Dalit child with a hot ladle  The child is admitted to the hospital at Chamarajanagara  A case has been registered against the assistant

An Anganwadi assistant branded a three-and-half-year-old Dalit child Hardik with a hot ladle for walking into the kitchen at Kodimole Basavanapura in Chamarajanagar taluk. The child has been admitted to the hospital, reports Kannada Prabha. 

It is reported that Hardik went into Anganwadi's kitchen with all curiosity. But assistant Shivananjamma pushed him out with a hot ladle hurting his neck. A case has been registered against the assistants of both the Anganwadis at Ramasamudra East police station. Hardik has been admitted to a hospital in Chamarajanagar.

On getting the news, Woman and Child Development Department officers visited the Anganwadi and suspended Shivananjamma.
