
The Cyber Crime is continuing unabashed with more and more cases reported. In a complaint lodged with Yeshwanthpur police station, it is stated that in 20 continuous transactions without OTP (One Time Password) an amount of Rs 25,000 was transferred from State Bank of India to Paypal account in US, reports Kannada Prabha.
Basavaraj Badiger, resident of Mathikere, has lodged a complaint with Yeshwanthapur police that on July 9, at around 5.50 am to 6.05 am Rs 25,127 was debited in 20 continuous transactions from his account in State Bank of India account in Gokul Branch into Paypal, an American pay system. He woke up by the ping and saw 20 messages stating the transfers. He immediately, got the card blocked and lodged a complaint. He wonders how without generating OTP, the transfers could happen and there are no provision for 20 transactions also.
