POCSO case: High Court cancels FIR against teacher and director of pre-school

The High Court, on Tuesday, cancelled the FIRs filed against the teacher, director and co-ordinator of Kidzee Pre-School in Marathalli, in connection with a POCSO case, reports Kannada Prabha.

Following a case registered alleging sexual harassment of a three-year-old in the pre-school by the driver, separate FIRs were filed against the director of the school Dr L Veena, co-ordinator Bhakti Preetha Dutta and teacher Ayesha. The trio had appealed to the HC to cancel the FIR filed against them. The bench headed by Justice Aravind Kumar inquired into their appeal and cancelled the FIRs against them. The advocates for the trio argued that it is not correct to implicate them in the case and the court upheld the argument.

However, the FIR against the accused holds good and inquiry will be held against him.
