“Even if Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah stay put in the State from today and try as much as they wish, BJP can never win in the State. In the 2018 assembly elections we will win with clear majority,” said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, reports Kannada Prabha. The Chief Minister has been touring the Hyderabad Karnataka region since two days. On Sunday, he visited Landa of Kalaburgi and at Bidar to launch civil works worth thousands of crores.
He came down heavily on Modi and Shah and stressed that their strategies will not work in the State. He also said that BJP’s Mission 150 is a myth. Their number will not cross even 50, he said. He ridiculed Shah that he is going to repeat his strategy of Uttar Pradesh. “Let him. His strategy will not work here. Karnataka is the land of communal harmony. There is no place for people who instigate communal disharmony. People will answer them,” Siddaramaiah said.
If Shah was successful in Uttar Pradesh, why was he not successful in Manipur, Punjab and Goa he questioned. Karnataka is the land of Dasas, saints and Sharanas. BJP does not believe in social equality and there is no place for it in Basavanna’s land, he stated.
