Bengaluru: Cylinder blast collapses building, leaves 6 dead in Ejipura

A cylinder blast at a residential building in Ejipura, Bengaluru left six people dead and three dead on Monday, October 16. The blast was so powerful that a portion of the building fell.

The deceased have been identified as Kalavati 69, Ravi Chandra 48, Hari Prasad, 19, Pavan Kalyan, 18, Ashwini (pregnant) and Saravana.

The blast affected three other buildings in the vicinity.

Times of India reported that death toll may rise as many people are feared trapped under the debris.

On 13 August, a similar cylinder blast had rocked Ejipura, leaving windows of houses, car windshields and other property shattered.

Ejipura is a congested area and has a lot of people living in closely packed buildings.
