The Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) has come forward to allot sites at concessional rates to the differently-abled in Kempegowda, Arkavathi and other layouts.
The BDA intends to allot sites at Kempegowda, Arkavathi and other layouts at concessional rates, revealed BDA officials at a meeting scheduled here. In the same meeting, issues related to providing basic amenities at Kempegowda Layout, cleaning of Bellandur and Varthur lakes, will also be discussed, reports Kannada Prabha.
BDA has already received the layout development charges from the alottees at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout, but basic amenities are not yet provided. Discussions are on to provide drinking water and sewage facilities. In the previous meeting, it was discussed to construct a road connecting the layout to Mysuru.
The Bellandur and Varthur lakes pollution has attracted the attention of national media. Experts from Hyderabad had visited the spot to inspect and offer suggestions with regard to cleaning. The scheduled meeting will also take a decision about calling tenders for cleaning Varthur Lake, it is said.
