BBMP fined Rs 25,000 for breaking a portion of house

Synopsis

The HC fined BBMP Rs 25,000 for breaking down a portion of a house of a woman in Doddanekkundi. BBMP broke down a portion of her house, citing it was an illegal construction. She was not given an opportunity to prove it was legal construction.

The High Court fined BBMP Rs 25,000 for breaking down a portion of a house belonging to a woman in Doddanekkundi, reported Kannada Prabha.

Kavitha Podwal had filed a complaint alleging BBMP had broken down a portion of her house at Doddanekkundi, citing it was an illegal construction, without giving her an opportunity to prove otherwise. A HC bench comprising justice S K Mukherjee, Justice P S Dinesh Kumar heard the case and issued orders fining BBMP Rs 25,000.
