Ashoka Naikodi, 43, is a resident of Jumnal in Vijayapur is alleged of raping 32 women so far. He was always targeting elderly women, especially those wearing gold ornaments.

He used to zero in on elderly women walking alone and go up to them and convince them that he just wanted to help them by driving them home. Not suspecting foul play, many women would thank him and climb his car.

Then he would take the car to an isolated location and sexually assault them. Then, he would rip them off of the gold ornaments they were wearing and leave the place, reported Public TV.

Many cases against him have been filed at Managooli and Vijayapur Rural Police Station on charges of attempt to murder and rape.

Reports say that Ashok was a gambling addict. Whenever he was short of money to gamble, he would go in search of women, rape them and take away their gold ornaments.

In this case, Ashok was caught red-handed when he was trying to rape an elderly woman at Managooli.
