11-year-old girls cuts her finger for Blue Whale, first victim in Karnataka

Synopsis

Jijabai, a class sixth student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, cut her finger while playing Blue Whale online game. She told her friends about it who promptly informed the teacher. She admitted to have cut her finger while playing the game. The school asked her to uninstall the game and counseled her not to play the game again. The school has decided to call a parents meeting to caution them.

The deadly Blue Whale online game that is claiming lives globally has made its impact in State. Jijabai, a class sixth student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, cut her finger while playing Blue Whale online game. She told her friends about it who promptly informed the teacher.

 

Alarmed teachers called her parents to school and on inquiry the girl admitted to have cut her finger while playing the game. She had downloaded the game on her father’s smart phone, reported Kannada Prabha.

 

It is learnt that the school asked her to uninstall the game and counseled her not to play the game again. The school has decided to call a meeting of the parents to caution them about the children downloading and playing the game.

 

It can be recalled that the Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait had stated that a circular would be issued to caution the teachers about finding students playing the deadly Blue Whale game and he had also written to the Central Government to ban the game.
