“Don’t just lecture, provide basic amenities in government schools, I will leave private school and join government school. Is this possible for you?” is a challenge posed by a 10th standard girl to Social Welfare Minister Anjaneya, reported Kannada Prabha.
Vidyavikasa School in Chitradurga had organised a district level talent competition. It was inaugurated by Social Welfare Minister Anjaneya. During his speech he appealed to the students to join government schools.
After the speech he was getting down from the dais and walking when Nayana Jogi, a tenth standard student stopped in track and questioned him “I am ready to study PUC in government college. But there is no proper classroom, atmosphere is not conducive to study. You provide all that I will join and also get 30 students to join along with me. I had appealed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also last year but nothing has been done” she said. She also said unless the children of elected representatives study in government schools the conditions of government schools will not improve.
Anjaneya heard her patiently and said “all facilities that you are asking are provided in government colleges. Go join.”
