The Congress party in Ramanagara is gearing up for a massive celebration. They are planning to ensure that 50,000 to 60,000 people from the district witness their 'son of the soil', DK Shivakumar, take oath as Chief Minister.
Preparatory meetings are in full swing across Ramanagara, Channapatna, Magadi, Kanakapura, and Harohalli taluks. The goal is to put up a huge show of strength from DK Shivakumar's home turf for his swearing-in ceremony.
MLA Iqbal Hussain has already held meetings with Congress leaders and workers in Ramanagara and Harohalli. Meanwhile, Magadi MLA Balakrishna conducted a similar meeting in Bidadi to gather opinions and give suggestions.
The main agenda is logistics. Leaders are arranging buses and food for the massive crowd expected to travel from the district. They are also assigning responsibilities to party workers for putting up congratulatory cutouts.
"Let's attend the swearing-in ceremony in large numbers and show our strength and support for DK Shivakumar," MLA Iqbal Hussain urged party leaders and workers.
During the meetings in the Ramanagara district Congress office and in Harohalli, Iqbal Hussain said, "We expect more than 60,000 people to attend. This includes office-bearers from the Youth Congress, NSUI, the women's wing, and people from the gram panchayat level. Party leaders, DKS fans, and workers must take responsibility and make this happen."
He added, "The long-standing dream of the state's people is finally coming true. DK Shivakumar is someone who worshipped the Congress party like a god. Whenever the party was in trouble anywhere in the country, he was there to help. This earned him national recognition. He is a master strategist who built the party from the village level to Delhi. The high command has recognised his hard work and given him the Chief Minister's post. On behalf of the people of our district, I offer a million thanks to them."
"It is very meaningful that DKS, who is from our district, is becoming the CM. His political journey is not ordinary. It's a massive journey, and his organisational skills are an inspiration to all of us. I am confident this will only grow in the coming days," he expressed.
Iqbal Hussain also recalled, "When DK Shivakumar was going through a tough time and came out of Tihar jail, the party high command immediately gave him the responsibility of the KPCC President post. He held daily Zoom meetings with district presidents and key leaders. He led numerous protests and movements like the Swatantra Nadige, Arogya Hasta, and the Mekedatu protest. It was because of his hard work and organisational skills that the Congress won a clear majority in the last assembly elections." The meeting was attended by former MLA K. Raju, Urban Development Authority President A.B. Chetan Kumar, former KMF President P. Nagaraju, former Zilla Panchayat President K. Ramesh, Municipal Council Vice President Girijamma, Rural Block Congress President V.H. Raju, former Urban Development Authority President CNR Venkatesh, former Municipal Council President B.C. Parvathamma, and other municipal councillors and party office-bearers.
"The fact that DK Shivakumar, a loyal Congressman and one of our own, is becoming the Chief Minister has brought a festive atmosphere to the district. We are all very happy. Under the guidance of MLA Iqbal Hussain and other party leaders, we are making all necessary arrangements for people to attend the swearing-in ceremony in large numbers."

"DK Shivakumar's swearing-in ceremony is a dream for the people of our district. It is our responsibility to take people there. We are preparing to bring 60,000 people from the district. For that, we are arranging buses, food, and snacks. This is our program, our district's program. So, we are taking full responsibility and preparing for the oath-taking ceremony."
