A five-term Lok Sabha MP, BJP leader Yogi Adityanath is a fiery Hindutva mascot who has developed a reputation of being controversy's favourite child over a period of time. 44-year-old Adityanath, a priest-turned-politician, is known for his provocative speeches and mass following across the state and never shies away from making controversial remarks, be it about Islam or Pakistan.

So when such a man comes to the power seat in Uttar Pradesh, needless to say everybody was waiting and watching for sparks to fly. Talk about sparking! There were flames and shutters downed and a previously lethargic administration on their toes, within days of his assuming the chief ministership.

While all the good things are being credited to Yogi Adityanath, the man did not forget to be thankful for his recent success. Yogi  honoured the party workers one by one, all who worked in managing the election to organising rallies, funds and other related jobs. He gifted some workers white and saffron shawls and along with some fruit and gift packets, since it is the Navratri season as well. Majority of the workers were seen leaving the CM’s new residence with Titan watches and a white shawl as gifts.

He also honoured deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, and the party's general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal. The trio along with a select few were gifted Samsung smartphones worth Rs 8,000 and a saffron shawl .
