With victory, BJP brings back the man who called Mayawati a prostitute

Synopsis

Dayashankar Singh of BJP was expelled from the party in July 2016 He was expelled for six years, but BJP just overturned the suspension in six months Singh had said that even prostitutes were better than Mayavati

BJP’s former Vice President in UP, Dayashankar Singh was expelled for six years in July 2016. Now the sources said that UP’s BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya revoked the suspension and welcomed him to the party.

The decision has come after his wife Swati Singh won the assembly polls. His wife Swati Singh, who is also the head of the BJP women's wing, had won the Assembly poll from Sarojini Nagar seat of Lucknow.

Singh was accused of calling BSP chief Mayawati a prostitute. After many protests, he was expelled from the party. But however, now the BJP is victorious and will soon form a government in the Uttar Pradesh and has the edge over other parties. Thus it is in a position to take any major decision regarding its leaders in the state.

But, however, this development is alarming as it gives a wrong message that whatever the BJP leaders do, they will be safeguarded by the party.

This is what Singh had said about Mayavati:

"Mayawati has become worse than a prostitute and abandoned the ideals of Kanshi Ram," Singh had said. Further, he had also said that "Even a prostitute fulfils her commitment after she is paid. But Mayawati sells party tickets to anyone who paid her the highest amount. If someone gives her Rs 1 crore for a ticket, she will give it to another person who is offering Rs 2 crore.”

Earlier, he had commented that even a rickshaw puller is better than Mayavati.

However, Singh’s family members had also filed a case against Mayawati for using foul language against Singh. But no action was taken, and his wife had said that till Samajwadi Party is in power, only family members of the SP can hope for justice.
