Synopsis

AIADMK's RB Udhayakumar mocks actor Vijay's political entry, calling his party TVK as being in its 'pre-KG stage.' He claims Vijay is in an 'illusion' and must learn the harsh realities and procedures of politics, unlike 'magic' in films.

AIADMK MLA and Tamil Nadu Deputy LoP RB Udhayakumar has mocked Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief Vijay, asserting that the actor turned politician is still in "illusion" and is different from reality. Speaking to ANI, Udhayakumar described TVK's participation in the elections as being in "pre KG stage", stressing the amount of procedures involved to contest elections. The AIADMK leader mentioned that the TVK chief would understand the truth once he steps into reality. "TVK has just entered the pre-KG stage. They haven't even written a single exam yet. Let them at least take one test first. There is still the process of filing nominations, then scrutiny, and after that, acceptance. Only then can they go to the people. There are many procedures involved in all this. Since they are at a 'pre-KG' stage, they need to understand what procedures are, what rules are, what an Act is, how to obey them, how to follow them, and how to implement them," said Udhayakumar.

'Reality is Different from Illusion'

"Things won't happen like 'magic' as shown in films. Reality is different from illusion. He (Vijay) is still in that illusion and needs to come into reality. Only when he steps into reality will he understand the truth. Truth can be harsh, and he must learn to endure that heat and come through it. We have to wait and watch. Let him (Vijay) face the test first, and then we'll see what happens," he added.

Tamil Nadu Elections

Tamil Nadu will go to the polls in a single phase on April 23, covering a total of 234 constituencies in the State. Counting is scheduled for May 4. Vijay, who is making an electoral debut with his party, will look to turn the polls into a three-way contest among the ruling DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance and the NDA. (ANI)
