Trinamool Congress leader and West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation Chairman Abu Ayesh Mondal dies at Burdwan's Monteswar on Friday (November 6).  

Trinamool Congress leader Abu Ayesh Mondal dies at Burdwan's Monteswar on Friday (November 6). He was 76 years old.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed her condolences to the family members of Abu Ayesh Mondal.

The late Abu Ayesh Mandal also served as the Chairman of the West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation. He was elected the MLA of Montessori and MP of Katwa. He has worked all his life for the development of the minority community. 

In her condolence message, Mamata Banerjee said, "I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Abu Ayesh Mandal." 

Abu Ayesh Mandal won the 1991, 1996 and 2001 assembly elections as a CPIM candidate from Montessori. He was elected MP in the 2008 Lok Sabha elections.
