Shocking! UP cop rapes married daughter in police outpost, held

The 58-year old accused was about to retire on Friday, but has now been suspended and arrested. The woman was reportedly assaulted by her father since the age of 14. The woman had to stay back with her father because it was very late for her to go to her in-laws.

In a shocking incident, an assistant sub-inspector of the UP police allegedly raped his 35-year old married daughter at a police outpost. The incident came to light when she lodged an FIR against her father. 58-year old Vijay Singh Yadav was due to be retired on Friday, June 30. Now, he has been arrested and placed under suspension. According to a circle officer, Sanjay Kumar, preliminary probe revealed that the woman was abused by her father since she was 14-years old and the assault stopped only after she got married. 

Yadav confessed about the crime. The woman is based out of Chandigarh and stays with her husband and two children. In her statement, she said that she had come to Agra for some medical treatment on Monday. However. it got very late by the time she finished. She, therefore, decided to stay back with her father at the police outpost, instead of going back to her in-laws in Firozabad. She anyways had to return to Agra for some more medical tests the nect day. Speaking to the New Indian Express, she said that she never expected her father to repeat the crime after so many years. Right after the incident, she called her husband who came to the spot and called the police. She said, "I was under the impression that he has mended his ways, but I was wrong."

The accused has been arrested and cases under IPC sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) were registered against him on the basis of the victim's complaints. The woman was sent for a medical examination.
