Murder accused Salman forgiven but Trisha can't have an opinion?

Where is our humanity heading? On one hand, we the fans, are supporting Salman Khan, who allegedly killed one and injuring four footpath dwellers.   

And on the other hand, Tamil actress Trisha was attacked by Jallikattu supporters on the sets of her movie Garjanai. But she fought back and questioned whether disrespecting woman is a part of Tamil culture?

After Salman's decision came out, Twitter was divided between the ‘bhai’ (Salman) fans, who are rejoicing the court’s verdict, while the others are questioning the judgement. 

Whatever he does Salman is tagged as a 'good-hearted soul', who is always misunderstood and gets into trouble. And also his scandal sheets and news give us a different picture of Salman altogether, that of a brash, arrogant and hot-headed star of Bollywood who gets into fight with anyone. 

Now see the patriarchy power of our Indian society. On one hand, Salman is acquitted by the court and on the other Trisha is bashed by her people just because she is a goodwill ambassador for PETA.  

PETA is one of the many animal rights organizations, responsible for pressing Supreme Court to ban Jallikattu.

The actress, who was shooting for her movie Garjanai at Sivagangai district, Tamil Nadu, was attacked by a group of people, who disrupted the shoot and tried to hurt Trisha on the sets. 

The angry mob said that they would not allow her to shoot in Tamil Nadu unless she apologises and withdraws her support from the animal rights organisation.

She was also trolled on social media by the violent group of Jallikattu supporters.

Where is our humanity heading? On one hand, we the fans, are supporting Salman Khan, who allegedly killed one and injuring four footpath dwellers while returning home in his Toyota Land Cruiser. Salman is a free man now as all the criminal charges have been dropped against him by the courts.

Meanwhile, Trisha was forced to deactivate her Twitter account, just because she found herself in front of a storm when she went against Jallikattu. And Trisha's mother, Uma Krishnan, had to file a complaint with the city police commissioner's office seeking protection for her daughter and action against those who hacked into her Twitter account.
