From Amit Shah to Rajnath Singh, several Union ministers and BJP leaders posted messages on Twitter as PM Modi laid first brick for Ayodhya Ram Temple  

Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (August 5) laid the foundation stone of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. As many as 175 eminent guests, including 135 seers were invited for the Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking) ceremony.

PM Modi laid the 40-kg silver brick at the Ram Janmabhoomi site to mark the beginning of the construction of the proposed three-storey Ram Mandir where devotees believe that Lord Ram was born. 

The silver brick was laid at an auspicious time 12:44:08 pm after PM Modi performed Bhoomi Pujan.

Many BJP leaders took to Twitter and posted their congratulatory messages.

Union home minister Amit Shah put a digital photograph of the proposed Ram temple.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath also tweeted a few lines from the Ramcharitmanas, the tale of Lord Ram in Awadhi language, and extended his congratulations.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh posted a few lines from the epic poem Ramcharitmanas and retweeted photographs of the temple town by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra.
