The foundation day of Visva-Bharati is on December 23. According to sources, the Visva-Bharati authorities held a meeting on the upcoming Poush Mela. The meeting was attended by the Vice Chancellor of Visva-Bharati and other officials.
In the meeting, there was a special discussion on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the foundation day of Visva-Bharati. On the other hand, important discussions were also held on how to conduct Poush Mela amid the COVID-19 situation.
Visva-Bharati was established in 1921. Therefore, Visva-Bharati is celebrating this year as the centenary of its establishment. In the meeting, it has been decided that the establishment day will be celebrated on December 23. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Education Minister and several other ministers will be invited in the event.
