Pankaja Munde defends her selfies after drawing flak

Maharastra Rural Development and Water Conservation minister Pankaja Munde today tried to defend her controversial selfies taken during her drought-hit Latur tour yesterday.
Thirty-six-year-old BJP leader has come in for criticism from the opposition as well as ally Shiv Sena for insensitivity when she posted her selfies on her Twitter handle.
Pankaja in her defence said the images were taken during her weekend tour to appreciate work done by the local authorities for drought relief.

Recently, another state minister Eknath Khadse came in for criticism when 10 thousand litres of water was reportedly wasted in making a makeshift helipad during his visit to drought-hit Latur.
