Perinthalmanna sub collector KS Anju arrived at her wedding venue in Palakkad directly after completing her duties during the lockdown
Thiruvananthapuram: Perinthalmanna sub collector KS Anju tied the knot amid the lockdown in Kerala.
Wedding rituals were performed keeping lockdown restrictions in mind. The sub collector had arrived for her wedding right after performing her duties during the coronavirus lockdown and said that she will not take any additional leave of absence as the state is fighting the deadly epidemic. She added that she finds herself bound to serve the state first.
She stated that she will soon return to Perinthalmanna to continue her services as sub collector.
Anju, who hails from Palakkad, married Dr J Navarosh, an ophthalmologist in Ahalia Hospital, Palakkad. The wedding was attended only by their closest relatives.
The wedding was earlier scheduled to be conducted in April and was postponed after lockdown had stalled all gatherings in the state. The wedding was solemnised with a minimum crowd on Saturday after necessary approvals from the government.
Anju was on COVID duty until May 1, just a day before her wedding. She is a 2017 cadre IAS officer.
