Move to Pakistan: BJP’s Sriramulu to former Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy

With the fight continuing between BJP leaders and JDS leaders, Karnataka health minister B Sriramulu said it will be better for former CM of the state HD Kumaraswamy to move to Pakistan. This comes after Kumaraswamy took a jibe at BJP leaders claiming they are “obsessed with the neighbouring country”.  

Bengaluru: Karnataka health minister B Sriramulu, on Friday, hit out at JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy accusing the former chief minister of pursuing "vote bank" politics and advised him to move to Pakistan.

"It is better to move to Pakistan, if he shows so much love towards Pakistan, why should he live in India? He should not do politics laced with double standards like this. He wants to be fair to Pakistan and also to India," Sriramulu said.

Terming it as "double standards", the minister said, “From so many years, you have been indulging in vote bank politics. You have to understand one thing, you are the son of former Prime Minister and also a former chief minister. By giving these type of statements, I think it will hurt the citizens of India. If you want to engage in vote bank politics, I must suggest that it is better to leave the country."

His statement comes after Kumaraswamy took a jibe at BJP over its "obsession with Pakistan".

HD Kumaraswamy had lambasted BJP leaders on Twitter. In a series of tweets, Kumaraswamy hit out at BJP and had said, "Day in and day out, BJP keeps chanting Pakistan’s name so looks like you all are from Pakistan and I’m the son of this soil."

Kumaraswamy has written, “You would not have gotten a single vote if Pakistan had not been on the map. That is why chanting Pakistan’s name has become your work. Is this your politics? Is this your love towards your country? Such a pathetic life?”
