Man writes letter to Trump not to give work to Infosys in US

Infosys is one of the major IT companies in the USA It was also affected by Trump’s visa and work restrictions applied in the USA Now an employee has written to Trump asking him not to let Infosys work in the USA because it encourages terrorism

Amidst turbulent times in the Infosys family regarding resignations and accusations between former CEO and company founder, a letter seems to be spelling trouble for the company.

In order to quell any further negative reactions, Infosys has filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police saying that a person by the name of Alpesh Patel has sent an email to senior executives of the firm with defamatory and vulgar content.

According to  a report in The Hindu, Santosh Nair, a senior executive of the company, stated that Alpesh had claimed in the email that he had sent a letter to the US President Donald Trump and asking him to avoid giving contracts or jobs to Infosys in America since they harbour and encourage terrorism.

A case under section 67 (Punishment for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act, 2008, in this regard. Police suspect it could be former employee who was just trying to settle scores with the company.

USA has always been very prickly about terrorism and foreigners. With the coming of Donald Trump as the President of the United States of America the foreign workers snatching local demands rhetoric has completely taken over. In fact, it was part of his election manifesto to see to it that Americans get to do more jobs.

Affected by the move to curb visa allotments to Indian workers, Infosys announced that it will hire 10,000 Americans in the next two years and open four centres in the US in a bid to woo the Trump administration, which has been critical of outsourcing firms for unfairly taking jobs away from US workers.
