Man smashes mother's head for resisting rape

Synopsis

The man was a drunkard and had attacked his mother in a drunk state. When the mother resisted, he smashed her head with a huge boulder, killing her instantly. The police said that the bloodstained clothes of the accused and other evidences related to the incident have been confiscated.

The Madhya Pradesh Police has arrested a 24-year-old drunkard- Suraj Mittal- for killing his own mother after trying to rape her. The incident occurred in Kailaras in Morena district on October 7. However, the accused was arrested on Monday. 

It is alleged that the man attacked his mother in an inebriated condition and tried to rape her. When she resisted strongly, he smashed her head with a huge stone killing her on the spot. Her body was recovered from her home in Kailaras town. Fforensic investigation proved that she was killed after a rape attempt and that she had a struggle with the accused. 

Meanwhile, neighbours also suggested that they heard loud noises from the house. Police earlier suspected the involvement of local criminals in the crime, but Suraj confessed to the murder when interrogated. A senior police officer said, "He has accepted that he tried to rape his mother under influence of liquor and killed her when she resisted". It is also alleged that after killing his mother, he went to sleep. 

The police said that the bloodstained clothes of the accused and other evidences related to the incident have been confiscated. Laxmi, the victim's husband Prabhudayal had died eight years ago and she was staying with her son since then.
