Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh former member of parliament (MP) Jyotiraditya Scindia has removed “Congress” from his Twitter bio.
The removal of any mention of the Indian National Congress from his Twitter bio has made veteran congress leaders form Madhya Pradesh upset and they have slammed the former MP.
The bio currently states, "Public Servant, cricket enthusiast."
Reacting to the same, Scindia told ANI “A month ago, I had changed my bio on Twitter. On people's advice I had made my bio shorter. Rumours regarding this are baseless.”
Former MP Scindia represents the Guna constituency in Madhya Pradesh.
Though Scindia issued a clarification on removing “Congress” from bio, veteran leaders of the party have slammed him.
Scindia has been demanding the position of Congress president of the Madhya Pradesh unit since Kamal Nath became the chief minister.
However, sources claim that Kamal Nath as well as Digvijaya Singh are in support of Ajay Singh for the top post in the party.
It has also been reported that 20 Congress MLAs close to Scindia are said to be missing and this has made the former MP disappointed.
Scindia had resigned from the post of general secretary of AICC in Madhya Pradesh this October. He expressed his disappointment over current veteran leaders in the state Congress. He had said that 'making a new Madhya Pradesh' should be everyone's ultimate goal.
"Ridiculous commotion over a twitter profile change done almost a month ago!" Scindia Tweeted.
