
The Kolkata Metro will increase the number of daily trains on weekdays by 25 percent from today (November 11).
In order to ensure hassle-free ride for passengers, the Metro Railway has also decided to run trains every seven minutes during the morning and evening peak hours.

A total of 190 trains will be operated on a daily basis on weekdays starting from today (November 11), with as many as 95 trains in each direction in the north-south corridor of the service.
The metro from Dum Dum station in the north and Kavi Subhash station in the south will commence at 8 in the morning during the weekdays. However, the last train from these stations will depart at 9 pm.

The number of services in North-South Corridor will increase from 152 to 190, taking the total number of services to 238.
