PM Modi, who landed in Kochi on Monday evening for a two-day visit to Kerala dressed in traditional local attire, surprised everyone when he chose to take a brief walk through the streets while doing a road show.

He was expected to travel in his official vehicle in accordance with the actual schedule. He surprised everyone, though, when he made the decision to walk through the streets.

As PM Modi waved back to his supporters, a throng of people, including BJP members and supporters, gathered on each side of the road to see him. They also showered him with flower petals. He started by conducting the roadshow on foot along the route, surrounded by a high-security perimeter, and dressed in traditional Kerala attire.

He had a 20-minute stroll before getting into his car, where he stood on the footboard and greeted those who had been waiting on the sides of the highways and on top of the buildings. This was the first roadshow in Kerala by the Prime Minister.
