Synopsis

Discussions are still on to decide which KSRTC services will offer free travel. The minister said this move will be a big help for working women and made it clear that this wasn't a promise made just to get votes.

Here's some great news coming from Thiruvananthapuram. Transport Minister CP John has announced that starting June 15, women will be able to travel for free on KSRTC buses.

The minister also said that the government will sort out the corporation's financial issues. He assured that the government will provide extra financial aid to KSRTC. The main goal, he said, is to make the corporation a no-loss entity. "KSRTC has assets, and we will make good use of them," he added.

Discussions are still ongoing to determine which specific bus services will be part of this scheme. The minister believes this will be a huge support for women who travel to work every day.

He also made it clear that this free travel promise wasn't just a gimmick to win votes. On a different note, Minister CP John also mentioned that no meeting has been held yet regarding vehicle modifications.
