
Former Bengaluru Police Commissioner and current DG Railways Bhaskar Rao has sought voluntarily retirement and reportedly sent an application in this regard.
As per reports, the senior cop has sent resignation letter to DG and IGP Praveen Sood and Karnataka Chief Secretary P Ravikumar seeking voluntarily retirement from service.
It is said that he is contemplating to join politics. Rao with his good track record, skills has earned lot of followers including social media.
Rao as a Bengaluru Commissioner of Police had ordered a strict action against Covid-19 violators and those who attcked police and Covid warriors. He also ordered the traffic department to destroy modified bikes after wheeling and accident death was reported.
It is said both Congress as well as Aam Aadmi Party is in touch with the cop and convincing to join them. In case, Congress party fails to accommodate him, Rao will be welcomed in AAP.
Rao was born in Chennai but his education was from Bengaluru and became a local boy. He now resides in Bengaluru south's Basavanagudi and shared a good equation with communities cutting across all religion.
