Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa, Deve Gowda and others condole demise of Union minister Suresh Angadi

Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda have condoled the death of Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi. Suresh Angadi succumbed to COVID-19 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on September 23.

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda have joined many others in condemning the death of Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi.

The Minister succumbed to COVID-19 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi on September 23.

The 65-year old minister was admitted to the AIIMS after testing positive for COVID-19 on September 11.

Hearing about the demise of the Minister, Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa said he was shocked to learn about Angadi’s demise and could not believe it.

Yediyurappa tweeted that Suresh Angadi was a polite, gentle, and popular leader.

Senior leader of JD(S) and former Prime Minister Deve Gowda tweeted, “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the demise of Union Minister of State for Railways and four-term MP from Belagavi Shri Suresh Angadi. This is an unbearable loss to our nation”.

Medical Education Minister of Karnataka Dr K Sudhakar also paid condolences through a tweet. The minister wrote “Deeply saddened to learn of the demise of Shri Suresh Angadi, the Union Railway Minister for State and a popular MP from Belagavi Lok Sabha constituency”.

Meanwhile Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi, DV Sadananda Gowda, Deputy Chief Ministers Laxman Savadi, Govind Karjol, CN Ashwath Narayan and Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai, MPs Shobha Karandlaje and Nalin Kumar Kateel, also paid condolences to the Suresh Angadi.
